I always thought you needed a degree in photography, all of the super expensive equipment, a large studio, indoor lighting and non-stop clientele beating down your door. Not so. To be a photographer you do need more than an expensive professional-grade camera. You need some knowledge of your camera, an artistic eye and a personality to interact with clients.
I'm not one who takes compliments well or pats herself on the back, but I have come to realize I have these qualities. Confidence in my skills (though not always in my camera), an artistic eye and the voice to shoot my way. For years I have been trying to shoot how everyone else wants and that has not made me happy. When I shoot what makes me happy, I know that my clients will love their end results.
For my repeat clients and new clients, thank you for your business this past year. I look forward to shooting you and your family in the very near future. If you are new to Suzie Bauman Photography, welcome. I look forward to meeting you and spending time with you and the people you hold most dear.
